10:15 – 11:10 Prof. Michael Rohde.  Professor at the University of Wismar for Architectural Lighting Design since 2006, M. Rohde is also a free-lance lighting designer (more information: L-Plan Lighting Design  He is particularly renowned for his research on light & health. 11:15 -12:10 Dr. Alexander Wunsch MD, PhD is a world class expert on photobiology, exposing the hidden dangers of blue light and light-emitting diodes (LED) lighting which most people are completely unaware of.                                                                                                   Topic:  „LED warning messages – what you should know before using solid state lighting… “


12:20 – 13:00 Dr. Uwe Geier is managing director of the WirkSensorik GmbH ( In 2016 he started the first experiments on the effects of different lighting systems with regard to food quality and students` behavior.

Topic: “What effect does artificial light have on our children?”

14:05 Prof. Abraham Haim is a full professor at Israel Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Chronobiology,  Departments of Evolutionary & Environmental Biology,
University of Haifa, Israel. Professor Haim is a leading researcher in the field of light pollution.

Topic: “Light and dark cycles”.


14:35 Octavio L. Perez holds a PHD in Philosophy, Multidisciplinary Science, specializing on  lighting and healthcare (Rensselaer/RPI, NY, USA);

Topic: “The intersection of lighting, health, and wellness in the built environment”.



15:05 Karl Ryberg is an architect and psychologist. He has studied laser biology with professor Tina Karu in Moscow. Karl`s specialty is therapeutic photobiology and color ergonomics.
